Alter Ego II was created as two separate sculptures that sit on a black granite base. They are purposely not mounted to the base to allow the patron to arrange and rearrange the pieces. By so doing the mood of the two figures can be changed to communicate different emotions. They interlock face to face as shown here, but can be placed side by side as if looking in the same direction, back to back as if not communicating with each other, side by side but facing in different directions as though conversing, etc.
This is the first in a series of sculptures that will be created capable of similar actions.
